Born to an abandoned teenage mom, and with a congenital birth defect, Nick Newell grew up being treated differently, in fact tormented and bullied for most of his childhood.

This is his story of beating the odds by first competing and winning on a high school wrestling team. Later, with the help of his best friend Abi and his former wrestling coach, Nick gains access to the world of professional MMA fighting.

Notorious Nick is this inspirational true story of his relentless spirit of that of his fearless mother. Nick Newell’s live televised MMA victory was in itself legendary; but, his backstory and that of his mother, and the insurmountable odds they both overcame make this real.
