The Hyundai Country Calendar team is constantly amazed by the wide diversity we find in the many types of land-based activities that we find all over New Zealand and this second volume of our favourite 2017 episodes is no exception.
It features families that have been engaged in the same traditions for many generations, like the Nolans on their Arawhata River cattle muster or the McKenzie family’s Wairarapa bull stud. Other stories are about exciting new ventures, such as Central Otago’s Mt Maude Winery where two generations are having success, Omahu Valley Citrus near Thames where they’re making marmalades and fruit jellies from what they produce in the orchard, or the Bushell family’s venture in Vanuatu that provides income for cash-strapped local villagers as well as products sought after by New Zealand consumers.
